These are projects currently under way within our chapter. Listing is optional but knowing who has experience with particular projects within the chapter can be a great help for new builders/restorers. If you have a project you would like to list contact the EAA Chapter 1114 Webmaster with your project information. You do not have to have a web site to include your project here! Whether you do or not, help out your fellow members by listing your project.

Sam Arbes Volksplane VP-1 This an Evan's Volksplane VP-1 which is a plans-built project. I'm studying the plans. I'll start cutting wood once I have a good grasp of the plans--probably summer of 2007. I've got to get a car out of my garage first.
Rick Crapse Cozy Mark III Currently mounting the spar to the fuse and building the fuel tanks. This is the plans #40 project. Current plans number is above 900.
Steve Goldman Velocity XL-5 RG My workshop is complete and I'm currently attaching the wings and canard foam blocks the spars. Hoping to glass the canard in the next month.
Dwight Frye Vans RV-7 Wings complete and fitted, fuselage work well under way, finishing kit on hand, and engine ordered. See my website for more details than anyone really cares about!
Ernest Christley Dyke Delta Working on firewall, waiting to finish to update web site.
Michael Crowder Sonex Currently Building
Dennis Roberts Vans RV-7 Empennage started, completed the HS and am in the process of building the VS assembly.
Byron Covey Glasair
Super II-FT
Wing with flaps and ailerons structurally complete, with lots of finish work to do. Fuselage shell together. Currently installing the horizontal stabilizer bulkheads. Stabilizer and elevators are structurally complete.
Mark Doble Mustang II
COMPLETED!
First Flight Feb 12, 2003 Factory info mustangaero.com Kit took 3.5 years to build
Jack Phillips Van's RV-10
Starting a new project after completing a Pietenpol Air Camper.
Jack Phillips Pietenpol Air Camper

COMPLETED!
Finally finished after 8-1/2 years, my Pietenpol Air Camper is an all-wood, plans built, open-cockpit, parasol wing monoplane originally designed in 1929. With a cruise speed of 65 mph (0.093 Mach), it is slow, but the sky is patient. I can also give an endorsement for all the help received from Chapter members, particularly from Tom Rudisill in his dual roles of Technical Counselor and Flight Advisor.
Mark Glazer Vans RV-8
COMPLETED!
airframe complete, installing panel-KMD150 with EI engine group.
Barry Sherrill Sonex Both wings are complete (in addition to the empennage) and crammed into my single-car garage, and I'm working on the aft fuselage. Things finally got so crowded that Ellen and I had to go out and buy a bigger house! It comes with a two-airplane ... I mean, two-car garage, plus a 12 X 20 workshop out back. Work on the Sonex will probably slow quite a bit until the move is completed in the next couple months.
Joe Giallo Van's RV-7A I am building a "quick build" Van's RV7A. At this point the wings are almost ready to mate to the fuse and we'll be ordering the engine and firewall forward kit before long. I don't have a web site but am happy to entertain visitors.
John Flavin Zenith CH701 As of 29 Dec, 2005, I have all the various parts of the tail plus wings and flaperons done. Now working on leading edge slats. Enjoying it even more and more as time goes on.
